Dannette obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, followed by earning a Master’s degree in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Montevallo. She has worked in a variety of treatment settings, including outpatient settings, day treatment, juvenile detention, residential programs, jails, and inpatient psychiatric units. She specializes in Child and Adolescent and Marriage and Family services.
Dannette Bivins is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC; AL# 3870) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT; AL# L545). She provides supervision for individuals persuing LPC licensure (LPC-S; AL# SC03298). She is credentialed as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Juvenile Sexual Offending Certified Counselor (JSOCC), and a Trauma-Focused CBT Certified Therapist.
